Cardamom Oil — which has appeared across the session in Versace Crystal Noir EDT and Montblanc Legend Red — here adds dry spiced warmth to the citrus. The heart is where Phantom Intense earns its name: Lavender Oil and Clary Sage Oil provide the aromatic backbone familiar from the original, but Rum Absolute is the material that transforms the character entirely. Rum Absolute is a rich, dark, slightly sweet and genuinely boozy ingredient — warm, heady and complex in a way that synthetic sweeteners cannot replicate — and it sits in the lavender heart the way a shot of aged rum sits in a cocktail: deepening everything around it without overwhelming it. The base of Vanilla Bean, Cedarwood Oil and Modern Moss completes the composition — Modern Moss being a synthetic woody-mossy material that replaces oakmoss (restricted under IFRA fragrance regulations since the 1990s) with a cleaner, fresher, more contemporary interpretation of the classic chypre earthiness. How to Apply

Apply to pulse points — wrists, neck, chest. The frosted orange blossom and cardamom opening settles quickly; the rum and lavender heart develops within twenty minutes. The vanilla, cedarwood and modern moss base lasts eight hours or more on skin — two to three sprays is sufficient given the EDP concentration and depth of the base.
