What Is Eau de Toilette?

Eau de Toilette, usually shortened to EDT, is one of the most common fragrance concentrations. EDT fragrances often have a lighter character than Eau de Parfum, although the exact strength, composition and performance vary considerably between individual scents.

An Eau de Toilette is not necessarily simply a weaker version of an Eau de Parfum. Fragrance houses sometimes alter the notes or balance of a scent between concentrations, so the EDT and EDP versions of the same fragrance can smell noticeably different.
