Three fragrances, one perfumer, three elements of nature: Wood Essence is the forest floor — cypress, vetiver, deep and earthy. Rain Essence is the first drops of rain — green tea, white lotus, light and aquatic. Glacial Essence, the middle chapter released in 2020, is the mountain above the treeline — cold air, aromatic herbs, clean and bracing. Alberto Morillas uses Juniper Berries, Ginger and Geranium to open it: Juniper is the signature note of alpine environments, with its characteristic cool, slightly piney, berry-like freshness; Ginger adds a dry spice that reinforces the cold-air quality without warmth; Geranium contributes a green, rosy aromatic note that bridges the opening to the woody heart.

The heart is the most sophisticated of the three Essence fragrances. Orris Root — derived from the iris flower, one of the most expensive natural perfumery ingredients — has a powdery, slightly violet-like, cool and refined quality that gives Glacial Essence a stature the other two don’t reach. Artemisia is a dry, slightly bitter aromatic herb with an almost medicinal freshness — combined with the orris and Australian Sandalwood, it gives the heart a complexity and interest that rewards wearing through the day. The base of Clearwood Accord — a Firmenich-patented sustainable cedarwood molecule with a clean, precise woody character — alongside Cedar and Musk gives the drydown a fresh, modern cleanness that holds without becoming thin. Five to six hours of longevity with moderate projection makes this the best-performing of the three for daily wear in warmer months.

How to Apply

Apply to pulse points — wrists, neck, chest. The juniper and ginger opening settles within fifteen minutes into the orris and artemisia heart — the Clearwood base develops cleanly through the day. Three to four sprays gives comfortable, fresh presence.
